Research Development Core – 2014-2015 Pilot Grant Awardees

The Research Development Core would like to congratulate our 2014-2015 Pilot Grant Awardees! Martin Paukert, M.D. and Pei Wang, Ph.D. have been selected to receive Pilot Grants from the San Antonio Nathan Shock Center Research Development Core.

Martin-Paukert

Dr. Martin Paukert‘s research interests include studying the role of neuron-astroglia interaction in neuromodulation. A particular focus of his work lies on understanding molecular events and behavioral context leading to CA2+ dynamics in awake mice, consequences for neuronal signaling and alterations of these signals in transgenic mouse models of neurodegenerative and neurobehavioral disease.
